  1. You need to develop an understanding of what you need first. A Murphy bed is a clever idea, but does that replace the need for a couch? I could see the Manstad couch in your area; the Murphy bed should be reserved for whatever new areas you develop as you eliminate/change the left side of the house.
    And don’t forget to try out whatever you decide to buy–remember how uncomfortable your last purchase was…
